Great running trail. Great views. This trail has benches along the way, restrooms and drinking fountains every few miles, bike fix stations, etc... very well designed. Walking, jogging, biking, and horse riding allowed. Tunnels under main roadways. Trail stretches up to provo canyon or down to the freeway. I see bike commuters often as well.

The Highland Glen Trailhead for the Murdock Canal Trail is definitely tucked in away from the main road. The parking lot is amply sized to accommodate 30 cars. There is a pavilion connected as part of the parking lot which has a bathroom, drinking fountains, and a bike repair station! There is also the giant steel pipe next to the trail showing the conduit which the canal now runs through underneath the trail. This portion of the trail provides little shade and cuts through farmland and urban area as you approach the canyon. A great alternative path is to take a right turn onto the path which leads to the Art Dye park in American Fork.

Just what I needed - to get outside and moving during all of this coronavirus craziness! This is a great trail. It's easily accessible, well maintained, not too crowded, and gives you a good chance to be outdoors. Would recommend for anyone looking for a good trail here locally!

Great place to start a run/ride. Nice, well-kept facilities and ample parking. I recommend heading east from here. Canyon Road Trailhead is 2.5 miles away. Wade Springs is 4.25 miles, and Lindon View is about 7.5.
