These guys were awesome! I brought a very old guitar in for a restring and nut repair and everything was repaired perfectly. They even polished the acoustic so it looked new. Super professional and polite. Would recommend to a friend.

This is a cool little spot hidden in the very far back corner of Painted Tree. If you want a Ukelele in NRH or HEB this is probably the place to come. There is a shocking lack of Ukelele stores in this area. There are also a bunch of old records here but I grew up in the 90s so I didn't touch these because they bewildering to me.

I went to find a guitar on Saturday. I had already focused in on Guitarasaur based on Google reviews. Walked in, and was met by Scarlet. She was very enthusiastic and helpful, and recommended several instruments based on model, maker, price and style. I settle on a nice classical guitar, since I had owned one years ago, and knew I could play different styles on this nice burnished guitar. Scarlet was low-keyed but encouraging, and closed the deal. Just yesterday, I sat down and started to play again, having neglected the guitar for so long - the fingers began to move as if I had put the thing down only months ago instead of decades. Thanks, I'm inspired. :)

This place has clearly changed a lot from whatever it once was. It is NOT a guitar store anymore if it ever was one at some point. When i got to the painted tree market place I was directed to a little 10ftx10ft corner in the back of a home decore store where the \guitar shop\ was. There is a selection of like maybe 7-8 budget guitars and some ukes. All i came in for was for some strings, but their selection was VERY limited - I'm talking like two gauges of Diaddario phosphor bronze acoustic strings, and a seemingly completely random variety of 5-6 Errnie Ball strings. No pedals, mics, or elctronics at all. Definetly don't come here if you are expecting a real gear selection - you're better driving up to Denton to a real shop. Might be a decent place to check out if you are looking for a cheap first guitar, but the again, you'd probabaly still be better off visiting a real guitar store for that too. Edit: To Tod, While I do understand your response, the currently listed photos and description of the shop really need to be updated to represent its current state. As they stand currently, they amount to total false advertisement. It's very frustrating as a customer to drive 20 minutes to a store to find something completely different than what you were reasonably expecting based on what's posted here. I wish you the best of luck in your new location.
