Our project was to restore a wool-covered footstool with leather closely matching our existing leather couch and easy-chair set. The footstool has been in the family for years, so it has sentimental value. When looking at your internet site, I was amazed at how many hides seemed to be close to the color of our couch. There were no places to take samples of the couch leather, so we ordered 5 samples from The Leather Store. One stood out as a very close match in color and texture, so we ordered a half-hide. The upholsterer was very impressed with the hide. He covered the footstool in a manner that was consistent with the period of the footstool as well as the design of the couch. The second photo is just after the top was upholstered. We still need to refinish the base of the stool, but it already looks amazing!
I ordered 2 large leather hides (BADLANDS) to cover my 4 dining room chairs. It was much prettier in person than the pics or the small sample that I ordered. They are being covered now. I will ad pics when I get them back. So excited ....
I was nervous about buying leather from an online store but I ordered samples of a couple of different hides. The leather I chose was beautiful, soft and buttery. It looks great on my kitchen chairs. I'm very happy with the Leather Hide Store and will definitely use them again.
