Had a blast on the ATV and zip line! I will say for outfit I would recommend closed toe sandals, swimsuit or swimming shorts and a swimming top. Trust me! You will be covered in mud - trust me! Head to toe but the best part is at the end you go into a waterfall to wash off and it’s incredible! Worth every dime and do not forget to tip the staff! They work their butts off! Loved it and recommend doing this tour! Also Tiffany rocked on zip line, Kyle killed it on the grill and Zack pushed it to a whole new level on the ATVs!

My family and I took the 12 hour around the big island tour. I recommend this trip to see the island in a day. Our tour guide TODD was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered questions. Our lunch was great and at a perfect spot on black beach picnic area. Views were breathtaking. We did a lot of stops and not only seen everything on the list but had time for a few extras. I’d highly recommend this tour!
My daughter and I had such a great time, the tour guides were amazing and the rain gave us a great chance to get muddy and slide around in the Polaris'. The waterfall was wonderful too. I would suggest wearing dark coloured clothes and wet weather footwear though
I cannot recommend the Kapohokine Star Tour highly enough! We chose this tour because we appreciated that it did not go to the Mauna Kea summit, both out of cultural respect and because it allowed our children to join us. You should note that this is the only star tour on the island that will allow children under 13. This tour was the highlight of our trip to Hilo and worth the travel for it alone. Our guide, Rich, was incredibly knowledgeable about the island, astronomy, folklore, and history. He picked up on each person's interest and had interesting things to say to everyone, from information about local animals for our 8 year old to history for our high schooler and astronomy facts for the adults. He even gave us ideas for what to do for the rest of our trip. I also appreciated how seriously they took COVID precautions, including individual hand sanitizers and water bottles and separate sanitized flashlights etc.
My children and I had such a great adventure day. All staff were friendly. I was especially impressed with how well trained the staff on the platforms are. The equipment and lines are well maintained!
My wife and I booked a tour of Volcano National Park with KapohoKine Adventures and we loved every minute. They thought of every detail to make this experience special including bringing water and coats in case you didn’t have your own. Our tour through the park as well as a local black sand beach was fantastic and culminated with a dinner and wine tasting on the Big Island’s only winery. Best of all, our tour guide was Spencer was a wealth of information and shared with us the history, folklore and knowledge of Big Island at every stop on the tour, something we would never have experienced had we visited these places on our own. If you’re lucky enough to get him on your tour, make sure to ask him about his spear fishing expeditions! Thank you to KapohoKine and Spencer for an amazing experience!
Kyle our driver was very personable along with his partner Jess. They welcomed questions or if no one asked they shared their knowledge of the islands. Our actual zip line guides were very safety conscious and funny which helped with calming any nerves. Would totally recommend this tour.
