We just left our first Hilton Head vacation and used Hilton Head Nannies & Companions for our 2 year old daughter. It was our first experience using a sitter service and it was phenomenal. The appointment was easy to book and we felt confident after speaking with them about the quality of nannies they use. The nanny called to introduce herself to us prior to our appointment which also made me feel good about leaving our daughter. The nanny came in with activities and our daughter transitioned much easier than we thought she would. We will use Hilton Head Nannies again when we come back.

First and the point of the review. As a first timer using a babysitter on vacation I was relieved to find an agency that I could vet through hotels we frequent and through reviews. Our nanny, Sharon Belle was great! Early to appointment to make sure we understood paperwork/charges, brought age appropriate toys/activities, and enthusiastic to hang with our children! We’ll definitely ask for her again. 5 for service, 4 for overall experience. The booking process could use some improvement. I understand this is an extremely busy and very important business, but a follow up phone call from someone should happen at least 3 days, if not a week in advance. People don’t read; we all know that. It doesn’t help that the website is outdated and busy. A simple phone call about the main policies and just to say look at our website and ask questions before your booking would benefit all. As a mom, I want things done right so I do it all, so I can see why the owner is doing all of the bookings/calls/emails herself, but just letting other moms know it will take some days for a response about your booking. We just left Hilton Head after a week long vacation. We had actually booked another service and the nanny was a no-show. We called Jenny at Hilton Head Nannies and asked if she could help. We had a great night away to focus on ourselves and that is something we rarely get at home. The nanny we had was amazing. She arrived with a bag full of crafts, games, and toys. The kids had a fun night. We will definitely use their service when we are here again in the fall.
My entire family loves Hilton Head Nannies! The first time we hired them was nearly 10 years ago. We are extremely careful about who we leave our kids with, especially since they have allergies. Each and every time, our babies have been well cared for by nannies who seem well versed in child development, safety, and who come prepared with a few fun activities or ideas of creative ways to have fun with the kids. The nannies are on time, super professional, keep the kids on a healthy routine and seem to be kind hearted people. The owner is also incredible and is dear to our heart. The kids always have a blast!! They even ask about when we can go back to HHI again so they can have fun. This gives my husband and I peace of mind so that we can truly enjoy a much needed date and time to celebrate our anniversary or whatever special occasion brought us to the island. We have never felt comfortable enough to hire nannies in any other vacation destination. Hilton Head Nannies is the only way to go for us!
I applied online because they never answer the office phone. I waited until one week prior to my vacation to hear from them. Then I left a message saying they have not contacted me about my days because I had several dates I wanted to know about. They then emailed me saying they would contact in a couple days. I then received no phone calls. I email again stating I was leaving and needed to get time set up. I was told to contact owner directly after a certain time. I did and no answer and left a message. Finally she called back at 5pm the day before we left and discussed our needs she said everything was good for our days. She never checked her messages and made a claim that I hadn’t called her. Then on the trip she called on Tuesday night and said she had nobody and would cancel the most important day we needed a sitter. They cannot keep up with needs and do not have a 5 Starr rating. They delete comments on Facebook. I warn parents from using this agency due to uncertainty and the risk of being cancelled last minute.
