I was very disappointed in our service yesterday at this location. I have a gluten allergy and always look forward to being able to dine out. I ordered chilaquiles with chicken and got the with chorizo when they arrived about 30-40 min later. I returned them and got back the chicken I had ordered. The food was so cold the cheese wasn't even melted. My husband had the biscuits and gravy and the only thing warm was the potatoes. Gravy was still cold. Our waiter never came to see if we needed a refill on coffee or our little cups of water we had for the entire time we were there. He sent the manager who asked if he could take my plate to make a fresh one.... I thought it should always be fresh. I declined the offer given that we had already waited that long to get my unsatisfactory order twice. Then my son finished his food and noticed a hair on his plate. At that point I couldn't even eat my cold plate of food. I didn't even get my receipt from the waiter to pay for my food so I had to just walk up to the register and tell the young lady what I had ordered so she could charge me. The place was not terribly busy as we were seated as soon as we got there. I was highly disappointed in the service and food quality.

I was there yesterday morning with my bf and it was nice I loved the orange juice. I was craving pancakes and my bf had an omelette or skillet I forgot what it’s called but I took a picture of it. The sausage is good but if u prefer bacon go for it but definitely try the sausage! I don’t think I’ll come back but just cause I’m very plane Jane and I didn’t personally like the pancakes. They are better than ihop pancakes but I still didn’t like the dexterity. But everything was fine and our waitress was perfect and everything was perfect. The food is just fine. They had some other options to make the menu look more appealing but I really just wanted pancakes but i prefer crackle barrel pancakes and I should have just gone there but my bf doesn’t like it there so we went here. It was a 20 min wait but they are fast with the food.

I love coming to The Egg Harbor Cafe! I love the atmosphere and the staff is so polite and caring. The food comes out very fast. It's a great time with friends for a nice time to chat catch up and enjoy and eat some really tasty food. I tried the chicken and rice soup it was good if you like veggies and a lighter type of cream it was different than I'm used to so I kinda liked it I wouldn't say the soup is Bad I'd say my taste bids prefer something different I'd actually recommend it, most people would probably really enjoy it! Go to Egg Harbor!

HASHING IT OUT Egg Harbor continues to prove why breakfast is their jam. With my cousin Luke B in town for the holidays, the three of us came here on 12/22/19 for a hearty morning meal. This location in Hinsdale is tucked away inside Gateway Square, a small shopping center just south of Ogden & York Rd. We didn't have to wait to be seated and ordered right away. For the second time in as many visits, I chose the habanero hash (11). Peppers come diced with potatoes, onions, cheddar jack cheese, topped with sour cream, cilantro, and two eggs any way (I opted for poached). Served in a skillet, this dish is delicious, filling and has a palpable amount of heat. My cousin loved his chilaquiles con chorizo (12). The cinnamon roll french toast combo (12.50) came with 2 eggs any style and choice of meat, earning rave reviews from my fiancée. We each got a glass of strawberry OJ (3.25), plus a side of applewood bacon (4). Bread 5 Circuses 4.5 Frank took perfectly good care of us during breakfast. Everyone at the hostess stand was friendly (I've come to expect this from Egg Harbor) and food came out from the kitchen quickly. There were some small paint chips in the wall and other aesthetic dings by our booth, but it's no biggie. * TL;DR * Few can do morning fare like these guys. Whether it's omelettes, skillets, or fruit-filled blintzes, I can reliably count on Egg Harbor for a delicious way to start the day. The habanero hash is highly recommend for lovers of spicy food, and we've yet to be disappointed by anything the kitchen churns out. Great stuff as always.
