Nice orchard. Just under flight path for the nearby airport, makes a lot of disturbing noice. Have a good time and zoom out in this wonderful place. As things used to be in the past. Parking is located near the entrance to the rotary playgarden. Somewhat accessible by wheelchair. To get in to the garden there is a fence with doors.

This orchard has managed to last mainly because it is in the flight path of the nearby airport. Most of the other orchards in the surrounding cities have been torn down to provide expensive housing. It is adjacent to the Guadalupe River so there are number of homeless people who hang out in the area. Also adjacent is the Rotary Park garden, designed for disabled children, and the historic Rose Garden which is large and worth a visit as well. Someone leaves cat food out for stray cats. I saw a skunk nibbling on the cat food in the early evening hours before sunset. It saw me and waddled away adorably awkwardly. Next to the cat food tray is a box with a hole cut in it and a hand-written sign saying do not throw away. I don't think there are any trees with harvestable fruit in this orchard, but it's a nice place to wander through when you are feeling like you could use a break from the hustle and bustle of the city life. The soil is very uneven so watch your feet so you don't trip in any holes.
There is a beautiful rose garden here, worth stopping by and checking out. They all smelled wonderfully, and looked superb.
A lot of green here and a beautiful rose garden. It's certainly worth stopping by here for a while and escaping the San Jose madness for a bit.
Check it out. A representation of what things used to be like.
