What a phenomenal organization. I live on the other side of the river but have visited often in my various kayaks and on my paddle boards. Their free kayaking program is a great gift to the community, the annual paddle board, kayak and outrigger canoe races and celebrations are a lot of fun and they do a great job with keeping their beach extremely clean. And not to mention they are just a bunch of nice people.

5 starts for the great volunteer led program. Super friendly and responsible volunteers. Great way to start kayaking in Hudson river. Enjoy the kayaking and please pay the suggested donation for the up keeping.

One of the best experiences you can have during summer! Stand-up paddle and kayaking for free. Donations are welcome! Enjoy the amazing view and the super friendly staff!

Excellent summer activity and completely free. Had fun kayaking, paddle boarding, and even outrigger canoeing. Great for everyone; I've seen people bring babies and pets with them. Plus you get an amazing view of New York right from the water. It's my favorite place for a little adventure close to home.

If you want to see the Hudson in a new light, head down on a summer weekend for a free paddle. And while you're at it, bring your whole family, dog, blind date, least favorite boss... This river is something else, and the more people share in it, the better. Your golden ticket is the ability to swim, no other experience necessary. The boathouse is run by volunteers and the door is open to anyone to join. So if you get bitten by the water bug and want to go on longer trips, it is easy to become a regular and pick up the necessary skills. Whether your poison is kayak, paddleboard or outrigger, there is someone to show you the ropes. For me this place turned into a second home. Being new in town I couldn't have asked for a better place to meet people. And what a cast of characters they are. Enough said, come down to the beach and make the river your own. Fair warning, your bum is gonna get wet!
