The pier was a great place to get some nice pics especially in the evening. The fishing was brutal. I was there from morning til afternoon and didn't catch anything worth keeping. Everyone at the pier was in the same boat. Only baby sand sharks and tiny little fish. Not the best for fishing I would say. Maybe if you get real lucky and catch a passerby. It was also pretty pricey at over 12 to fish with no discounts for kids. You would think a 9yr old would pay something closer to 8 or something along those lines. Overall it is worth the 1 to take a quick walk down and snatch a nice picture but not so much for fishing. We went back in the evening and it was the same. More baby sharks and no one on the pier catching anything.

As of October 2020, it is 1 per person to walk on the pier. To gain access to the pier, you have to go through a small gift shop which has a few snacks and fishing supplies. From signage inside the shop, I saw that you can rent a fishing pole and equipment for 12 for the day to fish from the pier. We really enjoyed the pier (both from the beach and on our walk) and wish we had time to fish for a day!

5 for a walk down the pier. Nothing fancy. Needs some love but it does the job. Lots of fishing. Worth taking the kids down. Unless your fishing you prob won’t spend a lot of time out there.

Was super cold with the wind roaring in at 20 with higher gusts but the kids loved it. Fish said no thanks but the time spent together is more important then fish caught.
