Awesome special needs program
We as a family of 7 , 5 kids and 2 adults find the Holland Aquatic Center amazing. This will be our 3rd year coming here for the kid's Spring Break from a bustling and busy school year. I asked what they wanted to do this year and they all wanted to go to the Holland Aquatic Center to swim because they really have a great time there! They love the Water Slide , the Large Pool , ( shooting hoops ) , and the friendly atmosphere. I too as a parent enjoy coming here as well to have fun with the kids. By the end of the day , they are exhausted of all of the fun they had! My question is , and this is from reading most of the \ Negative \ comments on here is , if it is such an unpleasant place to be and bring your children and adults too , then why is there so many people there enjoying themselves every time we visited?? It must be a fun place to be when it's cold and snowy out right?? I know other people are entitled to their opinions , and I won't knock them down for it either , but man , what a place! What fun! Let the kids enjoy it!! If they're happy , you should be happy for them!
I would like to give a 5 star from my personal experiences as a child , BUT after yesterday I was very disappointed.. haven't gone since I had my own kids who are 3 and 1 , so I called to check on how to go about taking the kids into go swimming for their first time at this facility. I was informed of the life jacket policy and general pricing and said we would be on our way very happily. Kids were super happy just to be disappointed, not being able to swim and play like I had promised ( going by what the lady told me on the phone) . We showed up about an hour later to get turned around as there was a swim meet going on . Would have been great to know as getting two kids 3 and 1 together and dressed for swimming to have their hearts broke and mine as well . Would love to return AGAIN , but be aware your fun day that you had planned out with your little ones may be ruined even if you call ahead of time !
