Good park to experience Everglades. They offer 30 minutes air boat ride. There is an animal exhibit. You can spend couple of hours with nature here. For Florida residents they give yearly pass for boat ride at the cost of 1 ride. It’s a good deal. Don’t forget to see 13 feet alligator in the exhibit. Parking is free.

As a born and raised Floridian this is my playground. I love the Everglades but truly enjoy this place. The tour reminds us how important it is take care of the earth. Our Boat Captain was truly a great guide. We spent time at the exhibit petting Boa and baby gator along as chatting with the awesome staff. Enjoyed the food truck and the gator tails. The best part of the tour was we could bring our beers on the boat too. The store was full of all sorts of cute souvenirs. Thank you for the great memories and adventures
It was easy to find and check in process was smooth. The staff was friendly. For the most part people wore masks. It is hard to distance on a boat, though. The air boat tour was a lot of fun. Captain Disco was fun and informative. I wish they had better exhibits, though.
What a a day it was here at Sawgrass Recreation Park. To start off there was ample parking and no issues finding the location. The area is clean and well maintained. The airboats themselves were very well taken care off. Captain Mike was knowledgeable and informative! You could tell he is very passionate about this subject. I can say I left knowing more about the Everglades and crocodiles/alligators then when I came. The boat ride was fun...just didn’t get to see any crocodiles. The little gift shop was cute. The bathrooms were clean. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It also has a small section where you can see the crocodiles, alligators, cayman, turtles and snakes. Then they also have two food trucks. We had the gator bite tacos...which were delicious. Overall an A experience.
Family friendly. This is REAL Florida Everglades. Breezy boat rides and kindness of strangers cannot be properly described. You have to experience this. It may be a once in a lifetime thing. Just do it. We camped in a big family group on their primitive grounds. No electricity or running water. We brought our own. We ate, slept and had a bonfire for three days and two nights. We took only pictures and left only footprints. The staff at Sawgrass Rec Park, especially Nicole and Robert gave our family an amazing experience.
