There's so many people on here reporting what a bad experience they have had. I was thinking about referring a friend here, but will not. If this place is primarily for women & children - it doesn't have to be done in a mean way. Everyone deserves respect, Wow. Such a disappoinment.

I have been contacting homeward bound denied multiple time due to not having enough children and not being completely on the street. I live with my mom due to COVID and I’m trying hard to get back on my feet and Homeward bound is a place that was recommended to me but once on the phone interview I was disqualified because I haven’t moved to two different places in 30 days. I couldn’t go to a shelter because of COVID restrictions and now I’m being kicked out of my only stable place I’m able to be in due to not being on the lease. I guess if you haven’t been suffering the whole Covid quarantine as much as I have you don’t qualify. It’s hurtful. And there’s no availability at any other places. By next week idk where my son and I will be. The approval process is unorganized by Elizabeth. And very unwilling to help
I found it very rude that I couldn't get any assistance because my children and I was stuck living in a one bedroom apartment with a friend for 6 months. Obviously I need help finding a place. Was very disappointed

Even the people I was staying with couldn't remember because I was back n fourth with them I'm sooooo hurt.
An amazing program and people as well. There are many classes available here for help with your children and also domestic violence . They care about your well being here and look forward to really helping but you need to stay focus , be ready to work , and budget accordingly . The main focus of this program is to help individuals strive in the real world and not end up back in the situation that might have caused you to be here in the first place . Be very honest about whatever you’re going through and communicate always to your case manager . I’ve accomplish a Sense of Security and well being while begin here and so have my children . They love it here and awesome teacher who runs the after school program . They have been there for me in many ways . I can’t imagine what I’d be doing if I weren’t here . Thank you HB.
