My wife and I shopped there yesterday. I had selected rack of lamb and went to the back it the store to buy the meat and order sandwiches. The owner was not wearing a mask. I politely asked him if he would wear a mask while he made my sandwich. He refused. We immediately left. He doesn’t care about his customers. I wouldn’t trust anything he sells.

I think he has good cured meats however I had 2 bad experiences with smoked fish. The first time was smoked herring. When I got home I opened the vacuum sealed package and the smell was putrid. Spoiled fish. I decided to try again this time smoked mackerel. He froze it and defrosted it and put it in the display case. You can't freeze hot smoked fish because once defrosted it turns to mush. I threw 20.00 worth of mackerel in the garbage

Got a selection of meats and fish. Pork ribs smelt so bad once I got home I couldn’t serve to my family. I called the store and the owner said wash and season them and it would be 100% fine. I didn’t want to risk it so I tossed the ribs. The beef patties , haddock, and short ribs all smelt as they should.
