One of my favourite spots in the city for an amazing meal.

The atmosphere was exuberantly artistic yet upscale, and service was really good. However, I found the actual food underwhelming. We ordered sweetbreads, halibut, and pork. The pork came as a giant hunk of meat, overly thick so that the outer parts became tough as shoe leather in the attempt to ensure it was cooked through. The sweetbreads and halibut were both good, but not phenomenal. Over all it was an ok meal, but since it left us two 130 poorer, I was disappointed by what we got.
Really enjoyed the food. Service was a little iffy but the menu was really a fresh take on a new cuisine in DC. Definitely a nice spot.
I go here often. Happy hour is great and so is the dining. The food is amazing and always has a variety of flavors you would never think to put together. The atmosphere is also very nice. The staff is always friendly and very attentive. Overall a great experience and worth it.
Really intriguing food. The chef creates dishes with ingredients that you wouldn't think would go together, but yet they do and taste great! The "coffee and cigarettes" dessert is over the top delicious.
Great quiet date spot in Dupont. Takes online (open table) reservations. Told them I was vegan beforehand and they had a seasonal vegetable dish available. Vegetables were delicious and my friend enjoyed his ribs! Offered a sample/palette cleanser (a fun surprise!) as well as a variety of bread with jam and butter. Lengthy dessert menu as well as a tasting menu available for 45 per person with a drink included. The staff is friendly and attentive, alcohol selection is expansive, and the decor is out of this world. Bar with seats to watch games as well. Dress smart casual.
We came for lunch during restaurant week. The service is great, the food is phenomenal. The duck leg was so tender you could have cut it with a spoon. I will definitely be returning to try the full menu.
I ate here for lunch today and thought the food was superb. First you encounter the most delicious banana bread imaginable. Next was normally lowly chicken livers beautifully prepared; probably the best I have ever had. I also liked the shrimp and grits; interesting but not overly rich with butter-fat. My companion literally wolfed down his chicken sandwich. The service was friendly and professional. I also thought the lunch prices were very reasonable, with each of my courses well under 20. The restaurant should have more diners given the high quality of the food, but we thoroughly enjoyed not having to raise our voices to be heard. Come here if you want to eat well and enjoy stress-free conversation.
