Excellent Selection. Very good prices, relative to quality. Lots of REALLY Good homemade food, ready to go, at good prices. Has a nice sitting area if you buy food to eat. Very good food. Very good produce. Exceptionally Clean. Well Lit. Friendly Staff. Great place.

The sushi is really good, restaurant grade rice makes it taste really good, not dried out like other grocery stores.

I love their bentos and chirashis as they made pretty good sets with many choices of combinations. The prices are reasonable for what you get. Remember, seafood is expensive now. They also have a small grocery and produce section, obviously with an Asian theme. They also have meat and chicken. Parking is validated, so free. Make sure you get the cashier to stamp your parking ticket.

Great grocery store near UH Manoa. If you love Japanese cuisine, you can find all the ingredients you need here! Prices are a little high, especially for their meat selection, but it 's all high quality that you would expect from ingredients that go into a Japanese meal. They do have sales of all meats on the 29th of every month :) I am also very happy with how they have protected their workers and customers since COVID-19 started. I think they are the best out of any place I've seen so far; enforcing customer count limits, plexiglass barrier for their cashiers, social distance enforcement, hand sanitizing stations and workers always properly wearing their masks and constantly santizing high touch items and areas.

Every year I hear Pucks Alley is going to be torn down but here it is, still standing in all it's glory! And of course, I LOVE coming to Nijiya, they always have the best stuff and classic little Japanese items you can't get anywhere!

It's a great place to shop for japanese food. Great deals on their bentos after 6 pm. Parking is not the greatest.
