These Catholic Nuns are Positivity Centralized!! Like nice quiet librarians, the nice ones, not the mean hissing kind. So kind. So wonder-filled. I keep blowing up my meager SSI budget on oodles and oodles of books and rosaries and gifts for all my Hawai'i Ohana. Mahalo, Sisters!! Much Aloha. I always go there to say my rosary. I feel safe there. When had the lock down I miss see all the Sister . But now I'm so glad to see some of the Sister.
All the sisters are very helpful, and will go out of their way to make sure you find what you're looking for. Bear in mind that, for safety reasons (since they're downtown), they keep the door locked, and you need to knock loudly to make sure they can hear and unlock the door for you. Also since we're still in a pandemic, they'll have hand sanitizer at the front, and will expect you to use it before browsing.
Pauline Books has a very kind and attentive staff of nuns. Highly recommend.
Love the sisters in this place! I also love their wide selection of spiritual books, videos, songs and items! I love to read, and this was where I got my best books on Catholicism. Great atmosphere and they have a small chapel too that you can go to pray and attend mass. I definitely recommend this place to everyone!
It was a casual walk in, more out of curiousity then anything I thought I needed. Although not a Catholic my father was & felt right at home. Both the staff & Sister who assisted me made me feel so comfortable (while feeling a bit awkward & out of my element), yet they put me at ease. I ended up pursjasing two lovely necklaces with important spirtiual meaning for myself & adult daughter. I also bought a picture of my favourite prayer from the Bible ... I may not be Catholic yet found the whole experience uplifting & the small gifts I purchased will be treasured for yeats to come.

The best store on Oahu and the nicest sisters are always ready to help you find what you need. There a beautiful chapel in the back that you can go pray in as well!
