Sobering experience for sure. Worth going there to pay respect. It is free to go in. Go straight to the left and put your name on the list for a boat ride to Arizona memorial if you didn't reserve tickets. It is free to go to Arizona memorial. Then, go back to the entrance area. When you are facing the visitor information desk, go to the booth on the left to rent a self guided tour recording devise. It is free. They'll give you a map to follow. The navy museum and the submarine is 20/ person. There's a documentary on attack in the outside pavilion that is played in loop. Worth watching. Umbrellas are OK, but only small purse is allowed inside. Water bottles are OK. We spent about 3 hours there.

Just visited Pearl Harbor for the 1st time with my son and had an amazing experience mainly due to Ranger Daniel May! We arrived just as the doors were closing but Daniel took the time to chat with us outside and encouraged us to return. He told us about the Jr. Ranger program which my son completed and was sworn in by Ranger May. Daniel definitely went above and beyond and really made our visit memorable! He truly cares about making the experience at Pearl Harbor superb and personnel. He's doing a GREAT JOB! Thank you for hiring a wonderful team and bringing smiles to the many families visiting this amazing historical site.

I think this is simply a must-see when in O'ahu. Even though I am not American, I found the memorial site awe-inspiring. The visit starts with the museums and a video summarising the background to the Pearl Harbor attack, the day itself and then the following events on the Pacific front during WWII. However, seeing USS Arizona itself, still lying on the seafloor, is the most impressive and most-impressive feature of the visit. The new walkway on top of the ship is really well designed and beautiful to see. It is necessary to book in advance, but I really recommend a visit.

Despite being unable to get tickets online (thumbs down to that process, tickets were gone within minutes), my family of five were able to get walk-in tickets on a Tuesday morning. We were there for six hours total (probably one hour of waiting to get on USS Arizona, which was a unique and sacred historical tour experience). Next, the submarine tour was one of the best, most effective tours I have done. I highly recommend using the audio-guided tour with headphones. The onsite museum was fantastic and finally the battleship was remarkable. My heart was in my throat multiple times during our visit. Thank you serviceman and women and much thanks for a wonderful must-see/experience historical museum.

Time has stopped here... RIP defenders of the USA It is necessary to remember not to experience it again. Well organized place with free entry for visitors. You need to buy tickets only if you want to visit submarine of battleship museum.

Moving place, well organized and run by helpful National Park Service Rangers and other staff. Great free museums, and boat ride over to USS Arizona runs like clockwork. Make sure you look at the NPS reservation website to book the boat ride in advance as the spots fill up very quickly.

Terrific tribute to the men who are buried here. Really gives you a chance to pause and reflect on the sacrifice of others. Loved this experience.

The place was well worth the visit. They have a handful of employees it seems so if you have a question you have to find someone in the ticket booth areas. They allow us to sign up for the boat ride as a backup person since we forgot to book in advance. We waited about an hour to get a space in the boat and actually got to see the sunken USS Arizona but it was well worth the wait. The place is memorable and touching. We highly recommend getting the headphone set with the tour description. Without the headset, the tour won't make as much sense or seem as well organized. The place was more of an adult area as most of the kids were frustrated walking for hours with a headset on so I would hold off on young children going but other than that the place is definitely a must see while visiting!
