We have gone to this area for over 10 years. They are very supportive of the local community and reasonable in that level of support

This is one of the cleanest campgrounds that I've ever been to! The rangers and volunteers were so nice! The cleanliness helped with keeping the bears and other critters away. You no longer need tokens to shower. The trails to the beach were amazing! I would recommend the walk-in campsites to give you a bit of that back country feel without having to haul your gear too far.

My husband had a bike accident on M-22. The ranger provided excellent emergency response and care. We are so lucky to have such excellent people working for us in our parks

My family and I went up in the middle of July and loved it. We plan on going back next year. The camping spots are spacious and the facilities are clean. You do have to purchase tokens to take a shower. The is a nice 1.0 mile path to walk to lake michigan and you are close to the livery if you need anything. Great place.

I popped in here at about 5:00 for a quick Saturday overstay. Got the last available walkin site. So make reservations. Did a quick lap and the place is really nice. Rangers are very helpful!! I'm a hammock camper and they understood the challenges and were happy to help me out. No worries. Walk-ins have bear boxes, tent pads, fire rings. Camp sells firewood. There's a general store/canoe livery about 1/2 mile down the road for last minute items. Will def come back!!
