I went there with three other musicians to just record a couple songs. We weren't a band, but just some people recording some music together. We get there at our scheduled time; the sound engineer (Brody) arrives at 15 miniutes late and NOTHING was set up. The studio did not have all the parts to the drum set that we needed, so the person we had playing drums had to leave and go pick up his own stuff to bring to the studio. We were set scheduled to have 4 hours of recording time, but the sound engineer literally took over 3 HOURS TO SET UP. By the time we got to record, we basically only had 45 minutes left. In the end, they charged us for four hours of studio time when only 3/4 of it were spent on sound engineer setting up, because I guess no one thought to do that the night before, even though this was scheduled. The only good thing I can say about this experience, was that the sound was pretty good - that's it. There didn't seem to be any professionalism; sound engineer should not be showing up late for a scheduled session; many things should have been ready before we arrived; and since we only got to record for 45 minutes, we should have only been charged for the time that wasn't the sound engineer doing what should have been done the night before. On the website, there is a lot of mention about big-name bands having recorded there, but I would bet ANYTHING that the sound engineer would be present and prepared at the scheduled time. In other words, if you're not part of a well-known band, expect to have to wait around and pay full price for the hours it takes to prepare - on your dime! you could definitely save your money by going anywhere else and get a moderately decent recording.

I did a seemingly simple demo. 11 song clips, just my voice and guitar. Both enginners that I used, Brody and Nick helped me get a high quality product at reasonable cost. I can't wait to return for a full blown project. I felt completely at ease in their very comfortable studio.
