It's awesome to have a toy store in this area with such a great variety! The owner is also a great guy to talk to and offers immaculate service. I asked about an item on his website and offered to drive and meet me to deliver it on a day off! Prices are great too. Always happy to support a local business who is so customer-centric!

What an awesome toy store! We were staying in the Poconos, and took the drive over. Soooo worth it! Kirk & his daughter were super friendly & very helpful. The store was very clean & neat! We found a ton of cool stuff to bring home at a very nice price. Let’s keep our small businesses in business y’all! Take the trip!
You owe it to yourself to experience this toy store. In two words: Willy Wonka. The owner, Kirk, is as close a living embodiment of the beloved character as exists anywhere. I have visited the store a number of times since it opened and each time I feel 'the magic'. For all adults who are old enough to have warm memories of visiting dedicated toy stores in their youth, and the excitement and wonder that it provided, you need to check out this place. I totally enjoy going here for myself, but my daughter is now almost 4 years old and I was looking forward to bringing her. Man, her eyes were huge. Her mouth wide open. Every direction she turned in she saw other things she needed to show me. The owner is the real McCoy. One part business owner and 5 parts a grown up kid who is excited about everything in his store and LOVES to talk to you about it. Whatever age you are shopping for, there are a multitude of choices housed in the two level converted historic house. If a toy store could live and breathe this would be it. From the sheer amount of products inside, to the cozy feeling, and the fact that its in little Hope, NJ ( you feel like you found it). I just left the other day and realized as a grown man there is no other single store, and store owner, that brings me the child like happyness of my youth. The magic of old still exists....at The Toy Chest.
This place is fantastic and is a must when you visit Hope, NJ. The owner Kirk is awesome! He runs an honest and genuine small business. He is always their to help, educate and provide great customer service. They have toys for collectors, vintage video games, Friday the 13th collectibles and much much more. There’s something for the whole family. I love the Toy Chest!!!!
Kirk knows toys inside outside. Each toy has a story and Kirk until you each and every single toy origins hose and characteristics. He has so much knowledge on toys as well as vintage games. Kirk is the toy MASTERS. If they had a green jacket for toys I would definitely vote for Kirk. From slimes that we bought for our daughter to game boards we bought for our son he told every single story about them. Love this store and you need to come and visit this establishment before anything else in Hope New Jersey.
