A year ago our rescue pup, Bailey, was diagnosed with a life ending complication. The doctors at Hope Veterinary Specialist saved her life and ours. They are a wonderful organization that cares about your family and would absolutely recommend them for complicated surgeries your local Vet (we're from Harrisburg area) cannot perform. Bailey and we Thank You!!!
My cat was experiencing a lot of pain first thing in the morning and my vet couldn’t see him until later in the day. I knew he couldn’t wait and rushed him to the emergency room at HOPE. It was during COVID so I could not go inside with him. The doctor and everyone there made me feel comfortable in such a hard/sad situation. They went above and beyond to explain everything to me and keep me in the loop. I received multiple text and pictures of my cat during his stay there for an urinary blockage. Truly believe he got the best treatment there. I would recommend to anyone.
I live an hour away, and I have a dog that tore the ligament in his knee. I called to have a general conversation with a doctor on what typical surgery options were for this common occurrence before I drove an hour with my dog. I understand I would have needed to drive in to truly determine the best option, but they were unwilling to let me have a conversation with a specialist prior to such a long drive. I would assume, that a hospital would make accommodations in situations like this. I have never been through this before and would have appreciated a conversation, I found this behavior to be cold and very far from going above and beyond for an animal in need. You have lost my potential business.
Hope Veterinary Specialists have an outstanding emergency department with outstanding specialists ready to consult for nearly anything. We are return customers, having first used them for a previous pet over 5 years ago. Even though we have a 1 hour drive to get there, their capability is outstanding. We wish our human emergency room operated as efficiently as Hope. Although we don't ever look forward to needing veterinary specialists for our pets, we are thankful they are there. We love Hope!
