Best hostel in San Diego. I've stayed in my share of hostels and this one blows the rest out of the park. Very clean and secure, elevators, locking doors with deadbolt and private bathroom/shower in the room. Perfect for someone who wants the comfort of a hotel without the extravagant costs. Manager also always chipper and willing to help with any problem you might have.

San Diego is a very expensive place for accommodation and this hostel bucks the trend. The lady at the front was awesome !! Can't remember her name but she was a petite lady with a huge smile that was super helpful in recommending places to see and helped us with some refrigeration options :)

The front desk personal were rude and lost are reservations for the room. Than they attempted to charge us forty dollars a night even when they just said it was 26 dollars a night. I had my bank calling me which was a red flag about this purchase. Which doesn’t happen so this place may be on a fraud list. Their are no fridges for the hostel rooms either and they locked me and my friend out a night early. They lost my paperwork too on that night I was only able to get back in because I signed for my friends work.

I don't know why this place had such high reviews- it's ridiculous. I've stayed in really great hostels before and this place is far from those. It smells, the paint job is low quality, its old, hot and musty. Don't stay here, there's a reason the prices are so cheap. Shared rooms with no air conditioning and old hard beds with hard disgusting bedding. Not comfortable. I'm really mad I stayed here. The front desk attendant stayed on her personal phone call the entire time we were checking in too so why bother talking to her- she was rude.

WARNING! Shady from the get go. I was charged twice for my stay, and when I reported it to the business the Indian manager laughed in my face and refused to credit me back what I was owed. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau, but until then I would strongly recommend you AVOID this dark corner of San Diego.

I am giving one star coz thats the least i can give. Their keys do not work, so once they check you in they just make you go up and down to reprogram the keys. I went like 4 times to do the same. The lady at the reception did not send anyone to do it for me inspite of repeated requests. Finally the house keeping staff let me in with their keys.bed bugs too!!! Please stay away from this place.

Ole Hi

Our experience with the hostel were just horrible. After a long annoying check in with all our travel dates we went through a really dirty floor to our 8 bed bedroom, where we had to share the room with a lot of weird people. The problem is that the beds make a really annoying sound the whole so that you can’t really just go and sleep. If you have the possibility to find a airbnb do it! Everything is better than one night in these beds in this rooms
