UPDATE 9/9/2020: I’ve changed my evaluation from a 2 to a 3, as Futrell’s management is endeavoring to correct our issues. I expected more for a 61,000 product, and anticipate my expectations will be met. Our overall sales experience was terrific -- until we signed the deal. Then, when I phoned the salesman at the Hot Springs location with some questions, he said he was going into a meeting a few weeks ago - never received a call back. (Too bad because I had a referral for him. I have since told our friends not to contact him and ask for someone else - or go to another dealer who handles Bennington Boats. Guess the salesman has not learned the importance of good customer service after a deal closes - to lock in repeat business and referrals.) Also, once the deal was signed, the salesman delayed our delivery -- then rushed us through the boat's walkthrough at delivery. Specifically, we needed to figure out how to launch and take the boat out of the water on our own. Same with the boat cover. He made it sound like he could do all of this but intimidated us into saying we would figure that out on our own. The boat clearly had not been dealer prepared prior to delivery. Wherever there had been tape securing the manufacturer's transit plastic - the residue remained. The boat was not detailed and was dirty inside and out on delivery. Several features had not been checked out and adjusted, such as the trim and throttle, which could be a hazard. There were wires dangling under the console with no obvious purpose. All the manuals and paperwork that came with the boat were rain soaked. I needed to spend a couple of days drying all of it out and will now try to download the manuals for our records. I'll reserve comments on the warranty and break-in service until I have the opportunity to talk to their service manager about, what I consider, potential price gouging.
