There is a screen available to tell you what the current discounts are. Anything from big Broadway productions to local comedy clubs. Broken down by area and day discounted tickets are available. There is a person to sell the tickets and answer any questions. VERY helpful.

No Worries

Best way to buy theater tickets! You can get some great seats at a discount. But usually the day before or the day of the show, so spontaneity is good ;-) never a bad show yet! Professional and courteous staff always.

cool place really low-key if you want to be riding the hustle bustle of the city and take your friend or a date out and have a low-key date that's the place to be prices are decent.

Instead of paying half price, Hot Tix charged us more than twice the price charged at the box office of the Oriental Theater. Yesterday (Mar. 9 ), about half hour before the 2 PM performance of Heartbeat of Home we dropped by Hot Tix and was told that the least expensive ticket for the impending 2 PM performance was 85 at the box office of the Oriental Theater, whereas they charged only 52, so we bought 2 tickets. Later at the box office of the Oriental Theater we learned too late that we could have gotten the same tickets for 25 each. So we had over paid 54 because we bought our tickets at Hot Tix.

I have been buying discounted Loop and Off Loop tickets through Hottix for around five years and have always had great service and nearly always found a discounted ticket through them. In person, I have received great help and advice on shows from the people working at the Randoloh Street location where the Hot Tix ticket counter shares space with a small but unique gallery. Online purchases accessed via links on their website have been great too. It is important to keep in mind that Hot Tix offers undersold or more slowly selling tickets, so be willing to try an alternate show and keep checking to see what's available. Hot Tix works well for the spontaneous day of the show ticket buyer like me. While you may not always find them offering tickets to larger, regularly sold-out Broadway touring productions (though you sometimes do), you will nearly always find Hot Tix selling tickets to many interesting Chicago productions and many of the more Off Loop tickets I have purchased through Hot Tux have proved great theatre experiences too.
