As someone who has worked for Karen before I know that she is fair and holds everyone accountable. I don’t believe for one second that she allows people who continually use to remain in the program.

Sober Houston

On a good note, this house opened its doors for me when I needed somewhere to go to start my life over in recovery. However, the owner prefers to keep people in the house that keep their mouth shut about the inner workings of the home. She likes to keep people in the house that are using and have nowhere to go verses people who are actually working on their sobreity. It’s better to be unemployed and lazy there than to be working a good program. You are rewarded here when you mess up It’s coed which has its advantages and disadvantages. I was asked to leave because I reported someone else’s drug use, and that caused drama in the house even though Karen (the owner) asked me directly about the individual. I felt safe because there were men in the house but numerous previous residents would show up high and at times it was frightening to have a person showing up high While I’m grateful for this house, I would never recommend it to anyone especially to any women
