I have wanted to put in turf and a putting green for a while. I spent quite a lot of time looking for design ideas and for a company that I could get excited about doing the project with. National Greens of Houston checked those boxes, so much so that I am writing a review which I don’t often do. Our project was for the backyard. The plan needed to fit a pool, a small play set, an area for plants, a fire pit and a putting green. National Greens helped me come up with a great design that would fit all these areas. They used some of my ideas but mostly had a great plan themselves. What I would highlight here is that it was easy to work with them on a design and we made several revisions until it was what we wanted to do. To me how it was installed was just as important as how it looked. It was clear that the steps that the installation team went through and their attention to detail were a high level. The installation team was just as good as the design team and that made the project a good experience for us. The putting green needed to be able to have some great practice putting spots and also receive chip shots that reacted like a real putting green would. National Greens gave us a putting surface that did all those things. We are extremely pleased with National Greens and would easily recommend them to do your project. Such a great company to work with.

National Greens of Houston: Jeremy at National Greens installed a turf putting green in our back yard and it came out great. He spent a lot of time with me designing the green, which includes slopes, flat spots, and a tier in the back all through the tall pines in our backyard. He added two green side bunkers that really framed the green and are perfect for chipping and pitching. The putting surface is very smooth and fast, especially after it’s been rolled. He put 5 holes on the green, all of which create different putts. For the pitching we have one grass bunker at 10 yards and a kidney shaped pitching spot at 25 yards. I’ve been very impressed at how the green accepts pitch shots, with results very similar to a real green. It’s amazing how quick you can make a 25 yard shot stop! All in all, we are very pleased we went with National Greens. My kids love golf and spend a lot of time working on their short games. There is always a competition in the backyard now, which has created a lot of laughs and memories!
National Greens designed and installed an amazing synthetic putting green and golf environment at my family's home in Houston Texas. Their attention to detail and quality of work is outstanding. National Greens far surpassed my highest expectations! If you are thinking about using them you can't go wrong. I spend a lot of time daily on the green and love it! Jeremy was great helping me figure out exactly what I needed and his team was amazing to work with. The only regret that I have is that I didn't do it sooner!
Very pleased! Thoughtful design. Step by step construction. Allows for challenging putting breaks. Holds chips. Great for short game practice. All team members well trained and worked hard. Looking forward to years of fun and enjoyment with our family and our ten grandchildren.
