Our go-to for having Chinese food delivered. They never let us down on quality, and the price is right as well. I also appreciate how they save your previous order by your phone number so you don't have to repeat it every time you call. Delivery time is usually pretty fast and the good is still hot upon arrival.

The Chef is a small unassuming Chinese restaurant in a strip center on Westheimer just east of highway 6. They have an extensive menu, and one can order over the phone or online for takeout or delivery. They also do have table seating, when this option is available. Can especially recommend their pork pan fried dumplings, special lo mein, family style bean curd with mixed vegetables, and many other dishes. Always very consistent and good.
For years I have been trying to find proper Americanized Chinese food. Not since I was a kid have I enjoyed the proper flavors. So many places get it wrong - not the right amount of sauce, too sweet, too salty, low quality, high price... not these guys. Absolutely perfect.
1st time ordering here ordered shrimp fried rice and it was clearly over cooked and tasted burnt rice was even extremely dark in color and the shrimp was too chewy it was either over or under cooked as well a major health issue. Ultimately a waste of money threw the entire plate away...only gave two stars because delivery was fast and egg rolls were good I even tried to call and get the issue resolved and the manager was very rude and refused to resend me a fresh order or refund me. I changed my review to 1 star because management response DO NOT EAT HERE HORRIBLE SERVICE HORRIBLE FOOD NO WONDER NO ONE HAS LEFT A RECENT REVIEW IN OVER A YEAR BECAUSE THE FOOD IS HORRIBLE THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN and I guess he thought I was joking but I just filed my complaint with the health department so good luck.
