It has a nice heated building and waiting room. Not to freindly of an area but lots of security The station is served by the Metra rock island and heritage corridor also a few Lincoln services and 2 Texas eagles

I don't know what's going on with them lately, but their trains are either completely full every Friday and Sunday even if you try to book a trip the Monday prior, and if you are fortunate enough to get a ticket, the trains are usually running late... A lot! I've had trains to run as long as five and a half hours late! Freight derailment. I know it's nothing they could control, but if you don't have their app downloaded, you may go all the way to the Joliet or Bloomington station and find out when you get there that their train is running five and a half hours late. A recorded phone call, text, or email would have been nice for anyone that doesn't have the app. I had the app, so I knew in advance not to go too early.
