When you suddenly become disabled, are income challenged and seeking assistance, you want to call and speak to someone as soon as possible. When an unexpected health need arises and you become disabled, it is difficult to figure out who to call for help. I called the Belleville location and was immediately referred to an empathetic and knowledgeable person with clear directions in how this agency could help. Since we are not currently income-challenged right now (according to IL income guidelines,) we do not qualify for the services we need (home health care upon hospital discharge.) However, the info provided may help us for any future needs, depending on our family member's continued care needs. To have a caring, supportive and helpful person listen and provide the needed info/answers, helped us at a very desperate time in our lives. Thank you!

They dont seem very motivated to help. Im disabled with mental health issues and need help getting a job. Feel like my case worker may be racist. Not very kind people.
