We left feeling as if our minds we're stuffed to overflowing. This place will answer all questions then go on to tell you things you hadn't even thought of about Lake Tahoe: it's formation, ecology, Flora and fauna; why it is so blue and why it is currently less blue; historic efforts to clean the lake including mistakes. Great visuals and friendly and knowledgeable staff. Worth multiple visits.

We had a great tour, excellent explanations that tied the entire story of Lake Tahoe ecosystem and the many factors influencing water clarity. Given an actual docent to describe each exhibit and answer questions. Highly recommend.

Visited to learn about Lake Tahoe and it's history. Their presentation was very informative and interesting with many unexpected details. The combination of live, video and interactive elements made it perfect for adults and kids. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I had some problems hearing because of the ambient noise in the background in some areas. Recommend it if you are in the area.

We visited on an off-season afternoon and had the place to ourselves. The docent was a retired professor who gave us a spectacular overview of what makes Tahoe so blue and clear. There was a great free 3d movie that explained all the geographic features we had noticed driving around the days before.

We enjoyed visiting the science center on the beautiful sierra campus. The center was smaller than I anticipated but the high school docent did a good job explaining about the tahoe lake.
