The Rhapsody is such a special place to have a wedding and reception! This family-owned venue is jam-packed with value! They have newly renovated the reception hall, outdoor bar and covered patio and an adorable getting-ready cottage on property! The garden is a stunning location for an outdoor ceremony! They even offer decor rentals to save you time! The passion the Scherer family has for their clients can't be beat, they treat everyone with kindness and respect. If you are looking for a beautiful space with hands-on owners and staff, look no further!

Beautiful little gem. It has bride and groom cottages for getting ready. A beautiful patio fashionably decorated and an outside alter area for the wedding. The event attendees were very helpful and accommodating!

Where do I start with how to describe how awesome this venue is? The Rhapsody is family owned and you can tell their entire heart is into their business and providing quality services to brides/grooms. The Rhapsody essentially brought my dream wedding to life at an affordable cost. I am usually very hands on but planning a wedding can easily become overwhelming if you are like me and try to take on too much. I was able to give up some control and communicate to the Rhapsody team exactly what I wanted and they beautifully executed everything! The venue has potential to work with a variety of budgets and can be as all-inclusive or as DIY as you would like. I personally chose the upgraded centerpiece design package and felt like it was a reasonable cost for all the extras you get for the venue to help recreate those Pinterest designs you fall in love with. Not only does Rhapsody provide a beautiful venue space but they also provide so much guidance and various planning tools to keep scattered brides/grooms organized. I used every spreadsheet, booklet and document that they provide to all couples to stay on task and keep all my vendors on the same page! Would recommend this Venue to any couple planning a wedding in the Kansas City area!

The Rhapsody and the entire Scherer family is absolutely amazing! They are incredibly helpful and will work with you every step of the way throughout the planning process. Beyond the family, their staff is amazing and were all over the place during our wedding making sure everything was running smoothly. After our first venue went bankrupt Rita was so sweet and welcomed us in with open arms, helping to settle our fears and calm our nerves. Then throughout this pandemic it's so obvious how much they care about their couples, everything from keeping us up to date on the most recent policy changes to 1am nights the week of discussing last minute safety measures we need to take. I can't express enough how grateful we were that we found The Rhapsody and how blown away you will be if you book with them. The are outstanding and really truly just good, honest folk.

Our waitress was very fast putting words in our mouths of what we wanted thankfully different from what we told her had to get up and chase her down so that she would come back to our table she was too busy laughing and joking with all that other waitresses. And she took the receipt slip that I have written my name on before we even with finished with our meal gave us our meal ticket right after she said our plates down in front of us you're so busy talking that our food came out cold but we were too hungry to send it back. I told her we were not satisfied with her I wish I would have remembered her name this is the Corner Cafe at Independence the girl was tall and heavy set. She worried more about her nails that she had just had done. First time I've ever said I was dissatisfied West Corner Cafe
