We thought we would use this business. My husband sent a deposit, and 20 minutes later we read some reviews and found out that moving companies are not supposed to take deposits for cross state moves. We tried to cancel. Sent emails, called the phone numbers we were given. No answer and no reply. We needed to freeze our credit card. I do not think this is a legitimate company. A month later, we got a phone call to confirm our move which was not happening. Do your homework, do not get pressured into a quick contract with great savings they can only offer now.

Update: Half of my belongings are broken and no response on how to submit claims. This company is a scam please do not use them. Save yourself the headache! Update 10/16: one bedroom apartment (no couches, coffee table or dining room set mind you, minimal items, just light boxes) NJ to FL, total cost with hidden fees at every corner: over 5,200. Total SCAM. Do not use this company. I will update this once I receive my belongings. The original person who assisted me with my move no longer has an email or a contact number (as soon as my items were picked up, they vanished).They picked up my one bedroom apartment belongings two weeks ago and I’ve yet to receive an ETA on my delivery. Don’t go off original quote they provide you, it’ll be triple the costs. Also, don’t believe them when they say 7-14 days from the «pick up date » because that obviously isn’t true. No one knows where my belongings are. Hoping it gets here soon and nothing’s ruined or missing. Stay tuned for an update.
STOP! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They took a deposit of 987 from me and stopped returning my calls. SCAM!! When they first contacted me about my move the rep was very kind and explained their services. I told him I wanted to wait because I didn't have a closing date yet and was only getting quotes. He said that I could update that information when I got it and lock in the low priced move, which would be good for 1 year, so I agreed. When I called back a week later to update my moving date the phone number for the rep I was working with was disconnected and there was no answer for 2 days on the second number he had given me. I went to the website and called another number they had there and finally got thru to Jessica... She seemed nice and updated my info... However my closing date changed 2 more times and when I tried to contact them again by phone, email, and leaving messages on their website contact page, I never received a reply. Over the next 2 weeks I tried contacting them many times and never got a reply. I realized I never looked up their reviews on Yelp, Google, and the Better Business Bureau. Shame on me for not doing this before giving them my CC info. Their good reviews are fake, they are horrible.
I hated having to relocate until I found Independent moving solutions. They really made my relocation easy and simple. It was quite easy getting a quote from them. Thankfully, the final bill came under the initial estimate. The four movers arrived right on time and they were very efficient. They worked very swiftly while packing and loading. They must have saved me some money given how fast they were. The delivery was made on time and I'm a happy chap! They are definitely worth hiring again.
I have had to move 5 times due to company relocation, Independent Moving Solutions has to be the worst experience I have ever experienced! I had to laugh when I looked them up just now to see 24 hours service. JOKE, they have an answering service and still waiting for a call back. Paid for a full pack which they did not do. Subcontracted with another company to do my move, increased my initial bid by almost 4000, then held me hostage and would not unload my furniture until I paid. Was told they would work with me after delivery. They called me a day late at 5:00 PM to ask if I wanted my furniture, showed up at my house at 7:30 PM made me get money orders from Walmart before they would unload. Damage my furniture, floor, scratches on wall, gashes on trim, did not put things back together and what they did assemble was wrong. Pulled away from my home at 2:30 AM. Have a box of screws that I have no ideal where they go. This was 10/1/20, still waiting for a response even after sending multiple messages. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!
If I could give this company a 0, I would. This move was a nightmare. My contacts most often did not return my calls, messages, emails. My quote was much above my actual payments. The company reps (not the actual movers) lied to me regularly. First I was told that the same people would load, drive and deliver everything in 4 days. Then it was "a week" then 2 weeks, then 21 days. It was 40 days before my items were delivered. The closing on my house was at the same time the truck was being loaded, I was told the total cost and I had NO option other than paying them since the new owners would arrive shortly. During one of my last conversations, I was told that I would be reimbursed 30 per day that they went past my due date. They then said that wasn't the "21 days" and that now it was after 30 days. I have been in contact with the Better Business Bureau and they could not get the company to cooperate. This was a VERY stressful period for me. I certainly can't afford an attorney but these people have to be stopped. It wasn't until after my move that I read the reviews by people who contacted the BBB. Same nightmare as I had. Wish I had read the reviews at BBB before signing with this joke of a company
I was relying on Independent moving solutions to deliver my belongings safely. They had an unbeatable quote and a friendly customer service. The movers were very efficient and cost effective. It was all great but I wasn't budging until all my valuables were safely delivered. The van pulled up right on schedule at my new house. I took an inventory and nothing was missing. I checked every piece and nothing was damaged. Their reliability factor is simply off the charts. I am very thankful to this company.
