This food is so delicious. I always order the vegan deluxe and I’m never disappointed. The atmosphere is elegant, warm, and cozy. The service is amazing as well. They give generous servings and I always feel like a full baby after each meal ready for a nap. I hardly ever save food for seconds. I’m sad to see them close temporarily probably due to COVID but I look forward to when they open back up later in Fall. If you’ve never tried Ethiopian food, this place is a great place to start.

My wife and I went to this restaurant on a Friday night and being away from Mass Ave, it was not busy at all. The service was quick, although the wait staff can try to help first timers a bit more in selecting dishes. I liked the honey wine which is neither sweet, nor dry, but is smooth to drink. The food came out quickly and was pretty good. The quantity is more than sufficient to take home leftovers. We would definitely be back.

This place is well worth the trip (I drove 2 hours to visit this place). I went over lunch, found free parking on the side street, and there were just a few other patrons at the time. The food was \fabulous\!! I love Ethiopian, but the combination choices are often made for two. Axum has a combination choice that is for 1 person!! I'd readily give it a 10 if I could. My favorite was the spicy chicken. Love this place and will definitely be back.
Excellent! Order the 3 meat (chicken, minced lamb, beef) 4 vegan dish sampler (chickpeas, beets, greens, etc.) and add the beef tips. Enough for 3 people. No appetizers or dessert options, all hearty entrees. Must try!
