A fun place!! We're from Ohio, and we visited because the Indiana State Museum decided to close on Mondays and Tuesdays, but forgot to tell Google. So, thanks to them, we enjoyed a great 'plan B'.

Great cultural forum set up in downtown Indy. Highlights various displays and pieces of art, native American, just a good place to visit. Open during covid with the reservation.

This museum is so culturally rich and accurate to history. I really appreciated the cultural sensitivity to Native American culture throughout the museum. Everyone there was kind and helpful. The museum inside and out was absolutely gorgeous! I learned so much!

Its not easy to grasp a 3 year olds attention but the jingle rails train exhibit was entertaining as well as a walk through the museum.

Eiteljorg is a must see when in Indy. The collection is diverse with an emphasis on Western art, but also interpretive areas with artifacts and artwork of North American Indian cultures and regions. They have excellent contemporary exhibits and a children's exploration area. When possible, parking is validated in their garage. We also had a meal at the cafe. The butternut squash and beet salad was tasty and prices affordable. Loved the southwest influenced interior design.
