We were on vacation with our RV generator stopping when it got hot. We had this problem before and suspected the fuel pump. Because of the stellar reviews we drove 2 hour out of the way to the Industrial Repair Service shop to get it fixed. The day was cooler and the problem didn't manifest in the hour Mack observed it. He charged us for an hour of labor (over 100) and we left. We stopped about 10 minutes later to try it and it stopped again in the same way so we went back. He started it up again and said it stopped because of heat. We spent the night close-by and called to ask if we could just buy an Onan fuel pump from him so our vacation wouldn't be jeopardized. He never returned out call. We drove 2 days and the generator continued to manifest the same problem when hot - starting and abruptly stopping after 5 to 15 minutes. Finally we were able to buy an Onan fuel pump to fix the problem. This experience has left us feeling Mack did the minimal job not worthy of a stellar review.

I had some starting problems with my Onan Marquis 5500 generator and tried everything I could think of. I took my generator in to Mack and he figured out the problem in seconds and had it fixed a few seconds later. It is really refreshing to work with someone that is so knowledgeable on the subject. The other thing that I liked was that Mack allowed me to watch him work and so I came away a lot smarter for next time I have problems like this.
