Last weekend was a girls' weekend for my sisters, myself and all of "our" girls it was a wonderful weekend stay in the Illinois cottage... The grounds are welcoming with so many things to do, wonderful people to mingle with and the scenery is spectacular. We hope to make this an annual retreat we will definitely be back Thank you so much for your hospitality \u003c3

Very clean and fun. They have a lot to offer. Beautiful scenery, close to restaurants, on the water, and so friendly. We gave this cute cottage village a try to break up our trip to Vermont. They exceeded our expectations! Definitely coming back.
Nelson's cottages was a great place to stay. We stayed in the Illinois cottage and it was perfect. There was plenty to do right on premises (kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, ladder ball and cornhole to name a few.) Just a short walk away you can explore the shops and park in Inlet. We will definitely be back next year. I would recommend this to everyone!
I, along with my parents, stayed at Nelson's Cottages at the end of September for a long weekend. We were greeted warmly by Julie and were pleasantly surprised by the amenities and cleanliness of our cottage. Having full access to kayaks, canoes, basketball, ping pong, corn hole, and loads of other yard games, you never have a reason to be bored. Outfitted with a floating dock and a small beach, time on the water was well spent. And having a campfire (wood provided) by the water was a perfect ending to each day. That aside, you are walking distance from the village of Inlet with all the shops, park, and of course, Screamen Eagle chicken wings. Plenty of near by hikes for short day trips, and Old Forge is right down the road. I would highly recommend staying here, Inlet is a personal favorite of mine.
Could not have asked for a better place to stay for a weekend getaway! Perfect location, the cottages were so nice, and the activities kept us busy all weekend! Julie and Tommy are the sweetest hosts! They take such great care of the property and became family for the time we were there! We absolutely will be back!!
Nelson's is a home away from home for my family and me. Our family has been staying there for generations literally and the Nelsons are like family. There is no place that I'd rather stay. It's a slow paced restful vacation spot if you want it to be OR it can serve as your home base for all the activities that the Fulton chain area offers. If you are looking to stay at a fancy resort, stay home! But if you want a safe, clean and welcoming place to say, then this is it! PS- NOTHING beats the sunsets!
Nothing but great things to say about our stay here. We needed a last minute place to stay when our campsite reservations were cancelled due to Covid. Julie was so warm and welcoming and did have one last opening we took. The cottage was nice and thoroughly cleaned, the beach was sandy and very clean and well. Will definitely come back and stay again!
Julie and her mother saved us! We had a bad experience at the ADK Little Cabins ( bad customer service) and long story short our two night stay we thought we had booked got cut to one night. We had to search for a place to stay and my first phone call was to these lovely ladies at Nelson’s Cottages and they had an adorable cabin ready for us! Julie texted me and told me the cabin should be ready by 1 but to text her at noon and see. I texted her at noon and she had the cabin ready for us by 12:30! Their whole family were so sweet and apologized for our negative experience at the last place and they were even more apologetic than the owners of the previous place and they didn’t have to be! The cabin is so adorable and what they have to offer is perfect for our little family! I told Julie next time we come we’re planning our whole stay with them! Private beach access with free access to canoes and kayaks, basketball hoop, kid water toys and floats- you can’t beat that! Great price too! We payed 145tax so 156 for the cabin called Vermont which has a cute front porch with a strand of lights hanging and a decent size table in chairs in front of the porch, two queen beds, bathroom with shower, and a mini fridge. All of my family and friends said they wanted to go there after seeing my pictures :) Thanks again Julie and Fam @ Nelson’s Cottages! I can’t say enough good things about my stay with you!
