My husband and I wanted to learn how to dance before our wedding. We didn't want something choreographed but wanted to learn steps so it would be authentic. Our instructor was funny, sweet, and absolutely amazing! She was so patient with us and helped us learn the steps. Our dance looked gorgeous and was authentic in the moment. We had so much fun learning multiple dances through the wedding package. If we lived in Charleston, then we would've continued without a doubt. Such a fun date night or great for a special event.

I suspect many guys were similar to me, that is, at a wedding, party or gala event, I dreaded when the dancing started. I knew my wife wanted to dance, but I was such an oaf on the dance floor that my fear of publicly exhibiting my two left feet generally overcame any desire to be a good date for my wife. Eventually guilt would overcome fear and as the party wound down, I would venture onto the floor to shuffle around to one of those last chances at a \slow\ dance. The music would seem to last forever and I would be embarrassingly sweaty when the music mercifully stopped. The folks at International Ballroom Studio Mount Pleasant changed all that. Dancing is now fun, even joyful, and it started with their introductory program. The instructors are very perceptive to one's ability or, in my case, lack thereof and personality. They tailor the lessons to the individual so that I was not immediately discouraged, embarrassed and out the door. To me this is what separates IBDS from other dance lessons I have tried. They design the lessons for the particular individual and do not assume the same approach works for everyone. Life changing is a strong description, but absolutely true in my experience with IBDS. We have now been dancing several years and it has been such a positive, even exhilarating experience—thanks to International Ballroom Dance Studio Mount Pleasant.

In a word, Maddy is 'Exceptional'. I say that having only had 2 out of 5 lessons. My Fiancée and I have entrusted her with our first dance and already she has delivered to the the extent in which I felt the urge to write an early review. I walked in thinking I had two left feet , and have left every lesson with a high degree of confidence. Worth the modest price for the Art she teaches

I signed up for lessons for my 18th anniversary w my wife. Admittedly, more fun than I thought it would be and my wife now thinks I'm a hero. Coaches are amazing dancers but easy to learn from. No judgement zone, just clean fun.
