I have been collecting rare, vintage guitars for 35 years. I had the fortune of connecting about 15 years ago with Browns guitar factory. John and his team are simply incredible when it comes to diagnosing and implementing repairs on guitars. Over the years I have trusted Browns with many of my valuable instruments. They are the consummate professionals. No detail is overlooked. They are passionate, highly skilled and knowledgeable. I have become good friends with them over the years and share the passion for vintage instruments. I can spend hours discussing vintage amps and guitars. (Just ask them) Just last week I drove 2000 miles to hand deliver my 57' Gretsch Country Club to them. Crazy- no. I got it back a few days later and like every time, it exceeded my expectations. When I'm purchasing vintage guitars- I gotta a guy. Johnny Brown. No matter what the reputation of the seller, it goes to Browns for a complete inspection before I consider it for my collection. I trust John to give me a complete detailed list of any issues or concerns. You will be treated with the same respect and concern no matter what the value of your instrument. Tom Sexton

Brown's Guitar Factory is without a doubt the best shop in Minnesota to take an instrument. Whether it's for a simple setup to a broken headstock or a complete refurb to a brand new instrument from John and his amazing crew. I've been going to John for over a decade and he is always accommodating, respectful and genuinely intrigued and interested in anything you bring in to the shop. I've attached a few pictures of a headstock repair that was completed at Brown's Guitar Factory last month, it turned out perfect and is completely invisible. Many Thanks to John, Adam & John

If you are in need of a repair or want to keep your instrument in tip top shape, Brown's Guitar Factory is the best. I've been going there for over 20 years. Their attention to detail and making sure your guitar is how you want it to play and feel has always been their top priority. When you bring your gear to BGF you know it will be in good hands. People may not know it but a lot of shops around the Twin Cities send their gear here when repairs or maintenance are needed. The picture above is one of Brown's Guitar Factory's custom chambered guitar. I love his work so much, that I had John Brown build me one of his signature models. Everything is made by hand down to the neck and pickups. It's not a parts guitar, it's handcrafted and plays better than any other guitar I've ever played. What better than to be made in Minnesota by a small business? Please check them out, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Let me first say that John is "THE REAL DEAL!" Do not waste your time going to anyone else in this town. I've been playing and been an entertainer/performer for years and I've owned well over one hundred guitars and I know what I want. I won't drop any names but I've known some of the best guitarists in the world including grammy award winners and like I said earlier John knows what's up and going on...He takes the time to listen and with real compassion and understanding will make things happen!! I say this because I'm a very particular individual and I want it right. He did a fabulous job on a Martin I had brought in for warranty work... It's worth the drive although I wish he was closer to downtown Minneapolis LOL. You're making the right decision by taking your instrument here! "Don't fool around bring your guitar to John Brown!" "HAVE A DIAMOND DAY!"
