Shelter house is an excellent place. They are very needed in Iowa City. They feed the homeless they house the homeless and they also do laundry and give clothes away.

I came to ask questions, being new in town, I honestly don't know what they're agenda is because staff \2\ were texting on their phones at the front counter, and made it apparent I was being a hindrance to their personal lives, and was treated as such in future inquiries, I also met others that felt and agreed that the people who need help are generally ignored. One person who I felt was genuinely sincere and concerned was Jennifer, I honestly don't know her at all, but I have to say she deserves honorable mention, she actually came outside and answered all of my questions in a short time, Thank you.
Great shelter and they have many resources to tap into.
I was helping a young man out yesterday that came to the house today. I had alot of job resources that I reached out to to see what help I could get some clients you may have there so I called this evening to give the list of open interview hire on spot jobs coming up. I like to address people by name so when Tanya answered the phone I said good evening and your name she just kept saying shelter house how can I help you 3 or 4 times then gave her name with all attitude so I hung up phone etiquette is important so is being decent in this field alot of people who call are on the verge of mental health break down and are just seeking some help..
I received help. Its a great place to start, but as far as keeping your head above water when you really need it. They'll leave you to no other choice than to end back up there. Its temporary assitance to keep them going. Also the assistance they portray isn't always what you get. Learn more and read everything you sign.
