I had a fractured L3 vertebra and could barely walk or even lay down without crippling pain. I tried other remedies, everything I could find, and nothing helped at all. I saw other back specialists and orthopedic surgeons, with no help from either. I saw Dr. Lin and he clearly explained what was going on with my back and the best way to address the problem (surgery). He scheduled me for surgery not long after my initial assessment and the experience was amazing. Three months post-op I'm completely pain free and I'm walking, sitting, standing, sleeping, and moving around like I haven't in years. My routine check-ups are easy, quick, and convenient, plus the office staff is awesome. Thank you Dr. Lin and Spine and Pain Institute of Orange County!

I have suffered from major back pain for 12 years and tried all kinds of alternative medicine, had many epidural injections and two failed surgeries! First surgery in Jan 2015 and 2nd surgery just this year on 4/30! I was completely messed up after the 2nd surgery and had to be on pain killers and in bed all the time. I started looking for a surgeon that can fix me up. An acquaintance told me about Dr. Eric Lin and how he saved her husband after two years of disability due to back pain! I met Dr. Lin and he gave me his complete attention. I could hardly walk and couldn’t sit so his staff allowed me in the exam room as soon as I arrived where I laid on my side. Dr. Lin reviewed my MRI and suggested to do a Posterior Fusion since both of my previous surgeries had failed . He explained the process and was confident he can help me. My surgery was scheduled at St. Jude in Fullerton. Perhaps the best hospital in Orange County. My talented surgeon performed the surgery despite all the scar tissue and a very recent surgery, he masterfully placed rods and screws. My back was nicely stitched up and I was in the hospital for four nights with best care. I had a follow physical therapy at home. My therapist, Stacy showed me how to better care of my back for the next few months while fusion is taking place. I can’t thank Dr. Lin enough as within two weeks after such major surgery I got off pain killers and only 28 days later, I had no pain! I highly recommend Dr. Lin and wish him much more success.

I remember this angry guy threatening a POOR REVIEW in the waiting room unless the doctor performed a steroid injection immediately! On top of that, he did not even have an appointment! It's sad to see someone so demanding running into a professional office out of nowhere, but I honestly understand where he was coming from (even though I disagree with his approach). Pain flare-ups can bring out the worst in people. I know how it feels to be so helpless and hurt. I have to give credit where credit is due, for the medical assistants in Spine and Pain Institute maintained their composure and they treated him with courtesy and respect. Fortunately, the spine surgeons and pain management doctors here are really accommodating, and they go out of their way to be helpful. The staff seems to make sure insurance gets billed right too. I know that, since I'm a long time patient here and my billing has always been on par. And they have always treated me with dignity and respect, and they have consistently take care of my shoulder and knee pain with amazing steroid injections. The doctors here have amazing bedside manners, and wonderful hands. They continue to provide options for pain control. This is a small practice that is striving to help the patient population, and they are doing an terrific job managing my pain medication regimen.

I had a failed back surgery performed by a neurosurgeon in LA, and after going through extensive pain management and seeing many specialist (with so many differing opinion), I thought my life was over. Getting doped up on pain pills was not how I wanted to live the rest of my life. My closest girlfriend recommended that I make it my priority to see Doctor Lin, and I reviewed his extensive credentials online that mentioned UCLA, fellowship trained, etc. I made an appointment to see him, and that was the turning point of my back pain. I had my first appointment in April, and the surgery for a herniated disc at L5/S1 was performed in May. And I can honestly say that I am 97% pain free. Doctor Lin has such calm beside manners, and he is very compassionate and caring. He is really doctor's doctor. In a time when greedy physicians want to fatten their pocket, Doctor Lin is the total opposite. He provides care that patients deserve and expect, and he will only consider surgery as a last line option. I am so thankful I listed to my girlfriend, and I am blessed by God to have found him. You will be in extraordinary hands if he performs spine surgery on you, and it would feel like you have been touched by an angel. If I could give him higher marks, I would.
