Going to solar is a complex decision. There is a lot of items to consider. After meeting with 3 other companies, I selected Freedom Solar because of their reputation and professionalism. Adam Gardner was my \go to\ representative, and he answered every question I have. I'm really satisfied knowing I'm producing my own electricity. Freedom Solar is great!

John is my sales person. He gets 10 stars!! Responsive and caring. He is the glue that kept me from canceling my order. My system is ground mount, so it requires some engineering. The engineer who was assigned to my project sent design for approval with 35 panels in a straight row with a note to cut down the tree, in my backyard. Unacceptable. The second design provided 2 arrays of 16 panels each. Both arrays were set a 10 degrees of elevation. WHY? Nominal angle to the sun is 30 degrees. Back to design for another try. This time the North panel is set to 30 degrees and the South panel is set to 10 degrees. Unacceptable! Back to design. Finally a design that will provide reasonable efficiency. The North array at 30 degrees, the South array at 20 degrees. The design group seemed to push designs in the hope I would accept the submission without question. After the installation was complete we discovered the South array could have been moved enough to place the South panel at 30 degrees elevation also. The company responded by sending me a check to cover the life time loss of production. I did not want money! I told the VP I wanted Freedom to hear there was an issue in the design group. The feedback was not well accepted. I have 10KW of panels which are producing well,
Working with Freedom Solar was very pleasant! Michael Carey is my PM on this project. He is very professional, knowledgeable and organized. The whole process was executed exactly or ahead of schedule. All information was transparent. I would no doubt to recommend this to my friends! David C Plano, TX
We were very hesitant about going solar since we didn't know much about it and how it worked. We had gotten a quote from another company and the whole vibe was off and they wanted us to ask all the questions which we didn't know what to ask and they were pushy to get us to sign. We researched and found Freedom and so lucky we did. Michael Carey was our consultant and I have to say he was great. He explained how it works, the process and follow-ups from start to finish. Answered all our questions and doubts and we did not feel pressured to purchase. We have been solar since October and love it. Highly recommend.
I had my install complete in September. I will break it down to sales and installation. Sales- I worked with Juan who was pretty freaking amazing. He was absolutely zero pressure through the entire process. I interviewed multiple companies and SunPower with Freedom Solar turned out to be my best alignment with what we needed. They had the best offers, with the absolute least expensive financing and they didn’t call me 25 times to ask if I was ready to move forward. Juan was available constantly it seemed like. I’d have a question at 8pm so I would call to leave him a message and he would answer! It was great customer service. When I had an issue during the permitting process I called Juan and it was resolved in hours. Not days. Installation - the installation team was great. They had no problem with me sticking around the understand the process, they let me watch and would take time to explain things that I didn’t understand. The whole process took just a few hours and they left the workspace cleaner than they found it. Going as far as to sweep up the tiny bit of dirt in the garage that one of them thought he might have tracked in from the yard (I think it was already there ). They stuck around to make sure everything was working and answered more of my question. Very professional and very fun to be around. The only issues we experienced were 100% not the fault of Freedom Solar but the fault of the city permit dept not having their ducks in a row saying the permit had not been submitted (I verified this wasn’t the case by checking the permits myself while the inspector was here) And even then Freedom Solar had it sorted out quickly and I was on my way. Overall it was a great experience. They are not the absolute dirt cheapest option. But they don’t sell dirt cheap quality panels. And they don’t sell dirt cheap installation or professionalism.
