As the Director of the Beaufort Historic Site, we need to have a partner we can count on for rentals for the many fundraising events that we sponsor. We also rent our grounds for weddings and events. We exclusively use and recommend Island Essentials because we know they will do a great job for us. Megan Carlton is always there for us at the last minute too when we forget something important - like linens or wine glasses!!! I can guarantee they will make your event stress free (at least with the rentals)!!

Extremely rude people who work here. They just leave random beach chairs on the beach and I waited about an hour to see if it was anyone's before sitting in it, not realizing you had to pay to sit in it. Immediately some lady comes over and is very rude telling me to get out of it. I try to explain I didn't realize you had to pay to sit in it and she just makes a face and doesn't even bother to explain how I could pay to sit in it instead she just walks off. I lay down on the ground near the chairs instead and some guy comes out collects the chairs and takes them away as if i'm going to do it again? Don't recommended doing business with a company who treats people this way.

Megan was TERRIBLY flexible with us in letting us make last minute decisions based on weather and # of people. She answered all my questions and eased my concerns. She met us for a walk-through and had great ideas. She worked with us on our vision/layout and it turned out beautiful! Price was just right too! Not too mention she was so easy to work with! We ordered tents, tables, chairs, stage, dance floor, coolers, trash cans and lights from Island Essentials. The guys who setup and broke it down were also great to work with.

Our 1 year anniversary passed days ago and as I reflect on our wedding day, 4/14, I can't imagine what it would have been like without the help and expertise of Megan and Island Essentials. Megan was knowledgable, thoughtful and timely. The decorations, set up, linens, tables, chairs, centerpieces, etc., far exceeded our expectations. We shared our vision for the day and Megan made it happen and then some. I'm looking forward to using them for an upcoming baby shower and anniversary celebration.

My husband and I got married about a year and a half ago and had a terrible experience with this company. Initially when contacting them for our wedding supplies they would never return my emails and would only respond when the wedding coordinator contacted them. When they were setting up our supplies the day before the wedding we noticed that they did not put up the correct lights that we paid for. We let them know and they said they were going to fix it. On the day of the wedding the lights were still not fixed. I had to call them in the morning to figure out what was going on. We were told that they sent our lights to the wrong place and they couldn’t do anything even though we told them the day before that they were wrong. We had to try to argue with them to get them to do anything about it and finally they said they would refund us since we were not getting what we paid for. They did attempt to put some similar lights up after arguing with them but initially they weren't going to do anything to fix it at all. Immediately after our wedding we went on our honeymoon so I assumed they would refund me over that next week. They did not and I had to call them several times when we got back to give us the refund. Overall the situation would not have been a big deal but they handled it very poorly and we were very disappointed with their services.
