Spent the last 2 years searching for a place for my Mom, who was 93 years old at the time we started working with Silver Age. We knew we would eventually need to find a new home for her, due to her worsening dementia. Just didn't know when. Over that period of time, Susan Waters, Silver Age Housing and Care Referrals, couldn't have been more caring and patient. She was amazing! Emails, phone calls, visits to facilities....Susan was always there. I felt guilty taking up so much of her time and not paying a penny, but she always did it with a smile and said \don't worry about it\. Her knowledge of the industry and facilities in the area was so helpful. But most of all was her compassion for our situation. We would hire Susan again in a minute if we ever needed these services again. I highly recommend Susan Waters and Silver Age.

I've worked with Susan Watters from Silver Age to refer our clients who are looking for housing. I love working with Susan because she has a keen eye for understanding the clients' needs (after 30 years as an Occupational Therapist at Evergreen Hospital). Most of all she cares deeply about what happens to her clients after they move.

Recommendation for Mark Ibsen, Senior Care Advisor for Silver Age Nobody looks forward to the day when our elderly parents can no longer live at home. Suddenly there is so much to understand to make important decisions. In our case from out of state during the pandemic. After a month in the hospital it was clear our mother needed assisted living. With Medicare limits approaching there was no time to lose. That's where Mark Ibsen came in as Senior Care Advisor for Silver Age. He quickly identified adult family homes meeting our criteria and set up virtual tours. Mark helped us formulate questions, spending time to educate us on the many considerations. We were able to select a suitable home and reserve a room through a very smooth process coordinated by Mark. His attention did not stop there. There were a myriad of transition details that all had to fall into place. Mark stepped up as point person coordinating between both facilities, social workers, nurses, covid tests while answering our questions along the way. All actions did fall into place with an orderly transition to the AFH on the skilled nursing discharge date (before noon, no less). Mark remained involved to make sure our mother settled in, continuing as a resource while we considered the related issues this major life event touches. With the urgency behind us we feel a great relief having made not just a good but an informed choice for our mother. After a month in the AFH she has gained weight and is showing an overall improvement in her well being. Thanks much to Mark for knowledgeable attention and thoroughness throughout the entire process.

I am writing this review from a different point of view as I am the owner of Mindful Senior Care assisted living home in Redmond, a brand new facility that was licensed back in July. After the licensing, I touched basis with different placement agencies to work with and I have to confess I was pretty impressed with two of them and Silver Age is one of the two. As the owner, Abby personally took a great deal of her time for a face to face meeting to get to know our facility and our team in every detail. She and Karen (as the agent who represented the first potential client) gave me very good suggestions on how to present our home and how to meet the families so that our interactions would go smoothly. During the Zoom meetings with the families, Karen made sure everything was professional but at the same with a human touch. She is a great moderator and a good advocate for her clients. I did not have a chance to meet the other members of the team yet, except for Lynda whom I know from her AFH ownership days and who is such a loving person, and I look forward to meeting them all. I have no doubt that they all have same team spirit and it is no coincidence that Silver Age gets all these positive reviews, including this interesting one!
