Quirky in the BEST way! This little pub has the BEST food! Great ambiance and AMAZING martinis! I had passed by a few different times while in Jackson and decided to stop finally! I should have gone SOONER! Very clean, friendly staff and DELICIOUS and BEAUTIFUL food!

Yum! Again, it was yummy! Potato-Leek soup was heavenly, mac n cheese brings a gourmet taste and Shepard’s pie was classic.
Fenian's is full of authentic Irish neighborhood pub atmosphere! So cool and unexpected to find that ambience in Mississippi! It's small, but very quaint with two dining areas with tables and a few booths. There was live music with a single musician doing a very nice job on hippie, old-school covers with acoustic guitar and harmonica. The prices were very reasonable and the food was delicious: The potato leek soup was SUBLIME with a creamy, almost airy, texture and plenty of leek flavor! A standout! The Fenian's burger was full of flavor, with savory meat contrasting with sweet brined onions, the poutine was an original take on a classic with mild curry flavor on the gravy, giving it a little bit of heat and cheddar cheese instead of curds. The greens were perfectly cooked with a little vinegary-ness and a little sweetness. My only issue was that the Black-Eyed peas lacked salt. This is definitely a college hangout so be prepared for lots of young people and a bit of noise, but it's well worth a visit.
Our favorite place to eat! and drink some Smithwicks draft! We have been here countless times and have never had a single bad experience. I bring my family here when they visit from out of town. I highly recommend to anyone looking for good food, good drinks, good music, a relaxing environment, and a friendly atmosphere!
Met up with a few foodies today for lunch at Fenians! I got the Thursday special, hamburger steak with mash potatoes. The mashed potatoes was creamy, just the right amount of butter. Everyone at the table got to try my mash and loved it! This was my first time having mash and slightly cooked kale, I really enjoyed the texture combo! I think I want my mash with kale from now on. The hamburger steak was nicely seasoned with a hint of sweetness from the caramelized onions. I didn't know that I can request my hamburger steak to be cooked medium, so it was made well done and a hair tough, but now I know. The technique on how to make a scotch egg is a tad tricky to get right. They got that baby down. Yolk was still runny, had just the right amount of sausage, fried crispy without overcooking the yolk, but thoroughly cooking the sausage. It's like breakfast in one bite! The ladies that ordered the curry really enjoyed it, I got to try some, and it was good. It had some Indian spices in it, but very faint. I didn't taste any heat, but I have no sense when it comes to spicy, the ladies said it was mild. We all got to try the fish n chips. Cod was fresh, the fry on the fish and chips were spot on, but just needed a hint of salt.
