If I could do 0 stars I would. I was interested in NH because I wanted a Christian education for my 5 year old. Office administrator said he had to take an assessment first. When we went to visit she took him in the office alone. She came back and said he new some of the information but he needed to be able to fully write and know more information. She said once he knew more that he could come back and reapply. She was so robotic with me. First of all he is a learning 5 year old. I don’t expect him to be able to write essays at 5. He knows his colors, numbers, shapes and alphabets. The way she looked down on my child was repulsive. All you need to know is that he is smart and eager to learn. But this is a church that only cares about politicians attending and members with money and status. If there is something a 5 year old doesn’t know that’s where the teacher comes in. I left there and took him to Emmanuel Christian school. COMPLETE DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE! when I told the principal that he doesn’t read yet and is working on his writing, she replied “ that’s what we are here for! And by the end of the year he will be writing, reading and writing in cursive”. And that my friend is the response you should have for a learning 5 year old. New hope only cares about the look and robotic behavior. My nephew went there and my sister took him out because she said they gave so much work he was stressing out. AT 8!!! Sad when this is the church. So glad for a real Christian church and school and not political robots that want a check and status!
