Unbelievably excellent service from every employee that works at the ranch. The staff and wranglers are super helpful and have a great can-do attitude! I loved the pre-planned activities… from fly fishing to horseback riding to white water rafting or to just sitting on the deck with a good book, there’s something for everyone. Food is good and there’s lots of it too. Rooms are comfortable. I’ve already booked my next stay at the ranch!

Friendly staff, Wranglers were personable, food was excellent. Horseback riding was lots of fun with excellent views. Great for all riding skill levels. Loved the home grown 4th of July parade.

Quiet, attractive, clean, and has the best, fastest WiFi I have ever had at a motel! Downsides, no microwaves in rooms, and they tend to cram guests into adjacent and overhead rooms in groupings instead of spreading them out more when occupancy was low enough to have done so. So smokers next door can stink up others rooms smoking near the air intakes.

Eight families from CT, all first timers to SHR – vacation of a lifetime. Upon arrival, we were greeted by fabulous Rochelle with a tour; finally putting a beautiful face with a year of emails. Cabins- comfy, rustic, cozy. Views- breathtaking. Saloon– out of a movie. Games, cards, green space to run. Never a worry about the kids. Need childcare, they have it. Saloon was our spot. Fell in love with bartender Casey. So many memories in that saloon, day and night. Food - delicious. If we had excursions- packed us food to go. Most of us were first time riders and ALL of us were back on the horses day 2. Views on horseback – remarkable. God’s country. I prayed and laughed. It was revitalizing. Connections made at SHR - magical, inexplicable, so lovely. Rochelle and her staff – extraordinary. Always working, always smiling. Spent hours together on horseback, in the saloon, around the campfire; talking, connecting, learning about eachother. Sang, danced, ate, drank, laughed and cried. Last campfire - epic. Wranglers “branding” our personal gear; then Rochelle’s brother serenading us with his music. It was moving. I felt a sense of vulnerability just being in the moment. Looking around the fire – we all did. Made new friends. Rochelle rocks! She is a professional, and one hell of a wrangler. Genuine, adventurous, kind. The scheduling of our activities was impeccable. Always around for whatever we needed– no request denied. Hard-working, smart, dedicated, and passionate. Can’t say enough…we adore her. Thank you SHR. A piece of me was left with you, no doubt.

The Ranch provides an exceptional vacation for a family of all ages. The riding and the wrangler's are excellent with astounding vistas, views, wildlife and wild flowers. The angling is diverse with opportunities to fish several world class rivers and guides that are patient professionals to cater to folks of all experience levels. The family style dining was consistently great, not an easy task while serving over 40 people three times a day. My wife commented to a neighbor that it was her favorite vacation to date. Thanks Kevin and the crew for memories of our lifetime.

Guide was knowledgeable about horses and the landscape. As amateurs, he made us feel comfortable and safe on the stallions.

My experience couldn't have been more amazing. Weather wasn't working for me, so instead of going out on a boat, I took a lesson at their ranch. My guide, Brad, was as amazing as a guide could have been: I'm a novice, and he clearly was someone who spends his entire life learning from every fishermen he encounters, reading innumerable literature on the subject, and accumulating a ton of experiential wisdom. Moreover, he truly loves sharing the sport. We spent hours together, had lunch together, and I walked away looking forward to returning to the ranch for my next hunting/fishing trip.
