Nobody in LA & Orange County is better than Jake when it comes to determining the correct skate brand & model to ensure the best fit. Jake's is one of only two places I ever to to get my skates sharpened.

Jakes shop is hockey through and through. Bower and Crosby signed photographs, hung up Vachon-esque masks on the wall, old school Kings gear, and much more. This place does not have the shiny/pretentious/overpriced sporting goods store vibe and instead feels like this is where your grandpa and father both went back in the day when they needed to sharpen their skates or pick up a stick. Jake spent over an hour with me helping me choose my gear, baked my skates and charged me next to nothing for all of it. Don’t give your to the big stores, spend it here and you won’t regret it ********* just came to get my skates sharpened.. and this place is gone. Like there’s no more store or merchandise, it’s been closed and Jakes moved out.
