I first heard about Jake's in 2014 from a girl I worked with while I was living in Philly. Once I knew I was visiting SF I knew I had to try it out and get a taste of my second home that I miss now that I no longer live there. It tasted just like I remember from Philly! Incredible cheesesteaks!!!!
Not bad... Must order extra meat to get the right proportion, otherwise there's too much bread. Flavor is right, and toppings galore. (If that's your thing)
This was a great place we found down a side street. They had lots of Philly options! We felt it was very reasonably price for the amount of food you received. It also had great flavor. They even had SALADS with the Philly toppings!! Great for us low carb eaters. They also have wings! My son had Garlic Honey wings and he ate every SINGLE one!
Total disappointment with the whole experience, the Bread was stale,the meat was tasteless, the whiz itself is not a great recipe for a cheese steak. You guys should try Hoagy Steak San Leandro!
