Never returns calls. I have been trying to get get a continuous glucose monitor for the last year nobody will help me. I waited 5 mo the fir them to pre authorize my test strips. I keep thinking it will get better but ever since they moved, they suck. I have waited on hold for over 30 minutes for them not to help me. Diabetes educator does nothing!!!!!! I have wasted a year getting the run around.

This review is not specifically written about Dr. Salem himself, but more about the Summa Physicians Endocrinology office and their incompetence. I have had several issues over the past 2 years with this office not sending prescriptions to pharmacies, not completing Ohio BMV forms in a timely manner, and a lack of customer service. All of the doctors that I have ever dealt with are fine in a one on one setting, but once you leave the office you are a number and your needs/requests will not be met. My advice is to find another Endocrinology office because this one is the worst I have ever encountered. And if you ever need to mail them anything you can forget about it being in their hands in a timely manner as well. Summa sends ALL of their mail to an office in Cleveland (that's right not the address you mailed it to in Akron) and the Cleveland office then goes through the mail and distributes it accordingly. I mailed something in the middle of August to them and it's almost the end of September and they still have not received it in the office. Once again displaying absolute organizational incompetence.
