If you want a nice place to walk around with beautiful scenery and lots of history this is the place. The church is gorgeous and you can stop and talk to the archeologist on site who are working. If you have kids they can also do the Junior Ranger program which helps them learn and they get a badge at the end. Pretty cool.

It was definitely worth a visit to Jamestown/Yorktown. Plan on 2 days to be able to see everything at a leisurely pace. A lot of walking in the outdoors. Be sure to take the guided tour to revamp your history knowledge and then venture off on your own for an afternoon by the river. Friendly staff and very clean environment. Souvenir shop and good food.
Beautiful! It was cold when we went but it was so surreal walking through one of America’s oldest settlements. Will definitely come back when it’s a bit warmer. The kids also did the Jr. Ranger program and got their badges. They thoroughly enjoyed walking through and seeing something they’re learning about in their History class.
I'm glad the family and I stopped by here as it gives you a very good idea of the original settlement regarding the \fort\ they built and buildings there. There are several info panels that explain a lot of various aspects of the settlement. We went in the late afternoon and this time of year the sun is setting early. It was very calm and peaceful throughout the grounds.
My pics cannot justify how beautiful this place is. Its just so beautifully decorated for the Christmas as well. Great place for people of all age groups, definitely worth a visit!!!!
